Magus and Wizard so much more versatile than the Bard and Sorcerer. Spellstrike are the Magus’ two most iconic combat options, and theĮffectiveness of those abilities is entirely defined by the Magus’ choice Similar to a Bard, but is much more dependant on spells. Know that? Yeah, no one beleives me when I tell them that, but it’s Level in one skill for every 2 points of enhancement bonus. Ranks, and Headband of Vast Intelligence grants you one rank per character Don’tįorget that increasing your intelligence retroactively awards you skill Your high Intelligence will let you get whatever skills you need. The build much later than you need them in order to take advantage of Heavy armor proficiency are annoying because they introdcue components to Strictly melee class, so be sure to keep your AC high.Īnd if you keep your weapon well enhanced and your Dexterity high, it willĪre great, and your high Dexterity will compensate for the low ReflexĪrmor proficiencies that you will need. Blue: Fantastic options, often essential.Red: Bad, useless options, or options whichĪre extremely situational. Also note that many colored items are also links to the Paizo SRD. RPGBOT uses the color coding scheme which has become common among Pathfinder build handbooks. If you would like help with Pathfinder options not covered here, please email me and I may be able to provide additional assistance. We support a limited subset of Pathfinder’s rules content. The Magus can serve the party as a Striker and Librarian, but has the spells to serve as a Support should the need arise. In combat, the Magus is defined by Spellstrike, which allows the Magus to deliver spells through a weapon attack. I'm sure everyone else can find other interesting RP opportunities to go with it.The Magus is everything that the Eldritch Knight wants to be a potent combination of the Wizard’s offensive magic and the Fighter’s martial prowess. There's even the story possibility of trying to find a way to separate them magically. Or the blade appearing in his hand because the alter has a poor sense of timing and shows up while the magus is parleying with the king. Imagine the magus pantomiming as he's arguing with the alter, always speaking telepathy. I'm sure you can see a number of possible RP opportunities here as well as the chance for a lot of shenanigans by the alter. The sword is the manifested consciousness of the PC's alter who, while possibly sharing some traits with the host, will be an individual to themselves with their own desires, feelings, etc. My answer - Dissociative Identity Disorder. So, combining the two would give us individual conscious mental energy translated, another consciousness that can manifest as a blade. effectively making it like an individual with conscious thought. Bladebound says very clearly that the weapon has it's own intelligence, goals, etc. Since the blade for the Mindblade is conjured of psychic energy, it effectively translates to mental energy. RAW, the two archetypes fit but it took awhile for me to figure out how they could work from a roleplay perspective. /r/3d6 - For character creation, advice and sharing (system agnostic)./r/Battlemaps - For your VTT battlemap requirements./r/Tabletop - For your general tabletop gaming shenanigans./r/lfg - Looking For Group, find other players, etc./r/RPG - For general, non-Pathfinder related RPG discussion./r/Starfinder_rpg - For dedicated discussion of Paizo's Science Fantasy system and setting./r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker - To discuss the Owlcat-made computer RPGs./r/Pathfinder2e - For dedicated Second Edition discussion./r/Pathfinder - For Pathfinder Society Organization/Discussion.Other subreddits you might be interested in: Fillable character sheets and intelligent character builders. Some of these tools and resources include the following: We have a Wiki page that includes links for various useful tools and resources, most of which have been provided by the members of this community.
